Two by Two Rescue-Willow

The Animal League of Birmingham’s latest project is Willow from Two by Two Rescue. This rescue is a small no-kill 501 C 3 non profit who believes all dogs have value regardless of breed, age, health or size. With this philosophy, they do not euthanize due to space, breed or medical expense. In June, they trapped a young female dog in Leeds, AL. She was in horrible condition; totally hairless from mange and malnourished. Due to her condition, her breed could not be determined. Her care is ongoing since her mange is advanced. In the future, she will need to be spayed and have surgery on her eye due to a prolapsing gland. Though Two by Two Rescue could provide some funds to help Willow, they could not cover all the expenses needed for her medical treatment. During our July meeting, we voted to give funds to help Willow’s ongoing care. Please consider donating to The Animal League of Birmingham or participating in our upcoming event Paws for the Cause 5K, 1 Mile, and Fun Run. All proceeds will go towards helping the Shelby County Humane Society and pups like Willow.
